Where to find Three Suns Birth
What parents say
So I'm going to start by saying that I have not had experience here with a pregnancy and birth, but i rather know Kate because I am a doula and have attended a birth with her and also attended a class she taught. What a knowledgeable, passionate midwife!! During the birth I attended Kate was so attentive!
midwife kate and carisa are such amazing and wonderful people that put lots of love and care into their work and it shows! i was searching for a out of hospital birth and was told about three suns birth, so i booked my first appointment, when i met these wonderful ladies i knew they were who i wanted to have this…
Kate is the best. She’s kinda a birth-nerd, keeping up-to-date with any classes. She’s knowledgeable, professional, and non-judgmental. She even made me a tea out of herbs for my rheumatoid arthritis. She’s like the Mary Poppins of midwifery.
I’ve had the privilege of receiving midwifery care from Three Suns Birth throughout my pregnancies. Although I had to transfer to the hospital during my first birth due to complications, Kate and Julie were by my side every step of the way, offering unwavering support and encouragement.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Three Suns Birth a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?

Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Three Suns Birth about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Three Suns Birth offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Three Suns Birth. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Three Suns Birth accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (575) 243-5001 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
