Where Avodah Birth works
What parents say
As a first-time mom, I truly cannot imagine my birth experience without Zoe. From our very first intro meeting, I felt completely supported, deeply heard, and genuinely cared for.
I connected first with Zoe online and almost immediately knew I wanted to meet her in person. But even from our first online conversation I had a feeling that Zoe could be a really incredible addition to my birth team.
When I was pregnant with my second child, my good friend Zoe came alongside me so seamlessly. I didn’t think I needed a doula since I had already gone through all of this once before. However, I didn’t consider how abundantly helpful it would be to have a doula who is also a good friend.
We had such an amazing experience with Zoe as our doula. We recently had our first child and felt very overwhelmed by the birth world since this was our first time, and Zoe brought us so much comfort and peace. She was there for every single one of our questions prenatal, during labor, and postnatal.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Avodah Birth a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as pregnancy care center and doula, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Avodah Birth offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Avodah Birth. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Avodah Birth accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Avodah Birth work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Tigard, Oregon — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (251) 591-5311 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
