I don't even know where to begin to express how wonderful our experience was with Tawnya as our midwife for our home birth. I switched to her midway through my pregnancy after a negative experience with a different local, team-based midwifery clinic that wasn't a good fit for our family.
Tawnya is INCREDIBLE!!! I’m so grateful that I had her help me during my pregnancy. She is so full of wisdom and helped guide me through the journey. One night it was super late and I thought I lost my baby. It did not matter the hour, Tawnya was there. As she found my son’s heartbeat I began to cry.
Tawnya was incredible during my daughter’s birth. She stayed calm and professional, grounding me when I started to get lost in the pain. After delivery, she walked us through the placenta and its functions, then encapsulated it and created a beautiful freeze-dried keepsake of my daughter’s umbilical cord.
I absolutely love Tawnya. I looked forward to my midwife appts with her, she made everything very easy and helped me understand everything clearly. She picked up my placenta and made me capsules of it, it absolutely helped my postpartum. I recommend everyone to her because she was the rock of my pregnancy.
