What parents say
Where to even begin…. Caty is the best of the best. There’s no doubt. When I got pregnant I knew I wanted to have a hospital birth with as few interventions as possible and that meant adding a doula to our birth team. My husband and I met with a few different doulas prior to meeting Caty and none felt like a fit.
I met Caty at a time in my pregnancy when I was very unsure and anxious about how my delivery was going to go. This was my second birth, and my first ended in an emergency C-Section. Caty was one of the doula’s I had interviewed, and we seemed to click right away.
I truly could not have imagined my pregnancy and birth without Caty. My husband and I interviewed a few doulas prior to Caty and as soon as we hung up with her we knew instantly she was “the one”.
Caty is incredible. We had interviewed a few doulas prior to Caty- once we interviewed Caty I knew right away she was the one for us. This was our first pregnancy and she was able to guide myself and my husband through it with knowledge, experience, reassurance and humor throughout.
Frequently asked questions
- Is DFW Births a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as pregnancy care center and childbirth class, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does DFW Births offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for DFW Births. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does DFW Births accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does DFW Births work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Kennedale, Texas — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (214) 663-0869 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
