What parents say
Kate is the best! I wanted a home birth for my third baby and Kate was exactly who I needed to make that a reality. During each of my prenatal appointments she made me feel seen and heard. Kate took my concerns seriously while helping me stay grounded.
Kate is an excellent midwife and I've been blessed to witness her deep care and consideration of her clients. She truly embodies being "with women!" Kate has extensive knowledge of natural and holistic methods of treatment and support, and is so supportive of her client's autonomy.
Kate is an incredible midwife and wonderful person. From the moment I met her, I could feel her grounded and intuitive wisdom and I am so grateful for our time together. I cannot recommend her enough! Her calming presence and empowering care is something every mother should experience.
I keep coming back to write a review but having trouble to find the perfect words to explain the tremendous blessing Kate was and is to our family for all she did through my daughter’s birth of our first grandchild!
Frequently asked questions
- Is Hawthorn Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Hawthorn Midwifery offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Hawthorn Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (801) 735-9399 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
