Where to find High Risk Obstetrical Consultants
What parents say
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!! I will say we waited for 3 hours but this office sees A LOT of people. Most of the reviews I read are people saying the employees are rude but I NEVER ONCE ENCOUNTERED a rude employee, sometimes all it takes is a smile or a how are you doing today to change things.
I was nervous before my appointment because of all of the negative reviews. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because there is definitely a wait time. So be prepared! The ultrasound tech and her trainee were amazing and so nice.
Expect long wait time. Hands down the longest wait of all the offices I have ever been to. Consistently. Some even longer than the wait time I expected. They have a HUGE number of patients to see. It's the largest waiting room I've ever seen.
This place gets 5 starts from me hands down. I love all the staff. For the couple of times I’ve been here so far, I never had to wait. For those mentioning the wait time, I think it depends on what you’re there for but this place does experience a very high volume of patients.
Frequently asked questions
- Is High Risk Obstetrical Consultants a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as obstetrician-gynecologist and pregnancy care center, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does High Risk Obstetrical Consultants offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for High Risk Obstetrical Consultants. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does High Risk Obstetrical Consultants accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (865) 263-2400 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
