What parents say
Kristin from Kind Birth Services was my doula for the birth of my first daughter. I also took her associated birth class, based on her book Expecting Kindness. Throughout preparing for and delivering my daughter, Kristin worked with me for over 30 hours. She’s a stellar doula.
At five months pregnant I sat down with Kristin because I had objections to having baby in hospital but was hesitant about home and birth center options. Thankful for Kristin- she handled my concerns and gave me direction. So happy I went birth center option. Very grateful- highly recommend her doula services.
Simply amazing through two experiences. As a partner, Kristin is an invaluable resource. Her insights are key, she's a great advocate and frankly you cannot put a price on another set of hands. Highly recommend (in fact I already have...).
Frequently asked questions
- Is Kind Birth Services a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Kind Birth Services is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Kind Birth Services about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Kind Birth Services offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Kind Birth Services. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Kind Birth Services accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (206) 489-4406 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
