Where to find Lovers Lane Birth Center
What parents say
It's actually been a couple of years since we had our daughter at Lover's Lane and we have since had another child in a different state, but I have been remiss in not recounting my wonderful experience at Lover's Lane with Dinah and Emily.
Absolutely wonderful experience. My first was an all-natural birth in a hospital, and it went well but it definitely wasn't my ideal experience. Thus, I was ready to go ahead and try a birth center for my second.
Lovers Lane Birth Center is a blessing! I had a beautiful experience with my second baby here back in February. I had my first, unmedicated at the hospital. It's different at a birthing center. Freedom is the word I can use to describe my experience here.
My wife and I has had both of our sons here at this birth center and just to keep it plain and simple, we appreciate the team. From the midwives, to the helpers, to the receptionist. They all are a great collage of kind and thoughtful individuals.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Lovers Lane Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Lovers Lane Birth Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Lovers Lane Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Lovers Lane Birth Center offer water birth?
- Water birth or birthing tubs come up in their public listing or reviews. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Lovers Lane Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Reach out through their website — use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
