What parents say
I had a wonderful experience working with Megan! True midwifery care! After two Mercy Birthing Center births, being in Megan’s care was so different, and so much better. I was the perfect candidate for home birth considering my past births and health history! Although, things took a turn at my 39 week appointment.
Megan has been an incredible resource for our family. Our first child was born in a hospital, and our experience was quite unpleasant: insisting that my wife’s labor proceed on the doctor’s timeline, constant interruptions after the birth, and inconsistent quality of care.
When I was pregnant with my first I knew I wanted a home birth but felt like I did not have the knowledge nor the resources to do it. And the unknowing of if my body would be able to endure a non medicated birth left me feeling too unsure to pursue it.
I am currently receiving care from Megan for my pregnancy with home birth journey, and I must say, she has made this experience beyond beautiful and reassuring for me and my family. From our very first phone conversation then meeting, Megan has been the epitome of kindness and warmth.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Mind Body Birth a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Mind Body Birth offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Mind Body Birth. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Mind Body Birth accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (636) 432-1238 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
