Where to find Monarch Midwifery
What parents say
I have now had the honor of birthing at home two times with Angela and Brittany. They are kind and compassionate women who take great care to make a mama and her family feel safe and at ease. My older girls loved getting to be a part of the monthly checkups, listening to the baby’s heartbeat and asking questions.
We moved to the area just 3 months before getting pregnant with our second. I’m so happy that we choose Monarch for our second pregnancy and delivery. Sam and Brittany were extremely kind, caring, and supportive throughout the entire pregnancy and birth!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Angela and Brittany. My husband and I didn't know exactly what to expect from working with midwives, but from our first call with Brittany and first meeting with Angela we felt safe and comfortable, and knew that we would be well cared for.
I went to Monarch in 2022 for my first child and then in 2024 for my second because Brittany and Sam made me feel safe. I trust their abilities to always look out for me and that is why I came back.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Monarch Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Monarch Midwifery is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Monarch Midwifery about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Monarch Midwifery offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Monarch Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (503) 395-4736 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
