What parents say
I cannot express enough gratitude to the incredible team at Natural Birthworks for helping to deliver both of my babies. From the moment we met almost 5 years ago, Gelena & Sandy always made us feel like we were in the best hands.
I have nothing but great things to say about this birthing center and the whole entire staff here! I had my first labor (first of many, hopefully) with Galena on October 12th and I can say the whole prenatal care and my delivery was amazingly pleasant! Everything went smoothly, I felt truly cared for and heard.
I knew Sandy and Gelena previously! When I found out I was pregnant…I knew immediately I wanted to give birth with them! They are absolutely amazing. Throughout the pregnancy, they took on midwife assistants and they were incredible as well. When I gave birth, it was sandy and Gelena and two birthing assistants.
Sandra and Gelena are real-life superheroes. Not only are they are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in the natural birth experience, they are also wonderful humans. The work that they do is invaluable.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Natural BirthWorks a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Natural BirthWorks is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Natural BirthWorks about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Natural BirthWorks offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Natural BirthWorks accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (954) 925-4499 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
