If you're reading this review you probably have already decided to not give birth in a hospital. Congratulations! I met with two other midwives in the area before meeting Gelena. I knew from our first meeting that she would be the one to deliver my child. I instantly felt comfortable and at home in her presence.
My daughter used Gelena for all three of her childbirths. She is a wonderful midwife and provides excellent service and care. Of particular note, when our second granddaughter was born, Gelena noticed an irregularity during her post birth examination.
I had a wonderful experience with Gelena. She and Sandy are very supportive and kind women. They look out for the interest of the mother and baby throughout the entire pregnancy and postpartum. I felt very comfortable under her care. You would most likely not get that attention from an OBGYN.
After researching birth options, I was introduced to Gelena and Sandy at a mom event by my doula. Meeting a midwife is like any other relationship, sometimes you "just know". From that first meeting, I knew I wanted the P3 ladies to be a part of my home birth experience, and I am SO glad I chose them.
