Where to find One Family Community Birth Center
What parents say
We delivered our second daughter at One Family. We had a hospital birth with our first born. The experience was horrible as we had to fight every step of the way to deliver her unmediated without intervention. We knew we wanted to go a different route when we became pregnant with number 2!
I absolutely love this place! I gave birth to both of my wonderful little boys in the same tub in the same birth room! With 8 years in-between! And I wouldn't change anything about it for the world.
A Doctor's office would never go through as much trouble as Shauna and Heidi did to take care of us. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking natural birth.
I did my prenatal care here with both pregnancies and it was the best choice I made. Everyone is very nice and the couches are like a piece of heaven!
Frequently asked questions
- Is One Family Community Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- One Family Community Birth Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask One Family Community Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does One Family Community Birth Center offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for One Family Community Birth Center. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does One Family Community Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (907) 349-3054. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
