Where to find Simi Valley Birth Center
What parents say
When I was pregnant and deciding how and where I wanted to give birth it was very daunting to start looking around as I had only lived in the USA for about 12 months so was all new to how the medical system works here and if it was possible to have the kind of birth I wanted.
I highly recommend Simi Valley Birth Center. The facility and large tub with the waterfall faucet are lovely! I came into care with Rachel late into my pregnancy around 36 weeks and my previous provider gave her incomplete records.
If I could give this center more stars I would. I honestly don't know where to begin... Rachel from day one made me feel so empowered, so capable and so supported to have the delivery that redeemed my previous experience.
Rachel and the Simi Valley Birth Center team were hands down the best experience of prenatal, and postnatal care that i’ve had. I began my prenatal care through a hospital, early on, with a OB. But my care was never consistent with the same provider and I wanted to be able to be informed about my choices.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Simi Valley Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Simi Valley Birth Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Simi Valley Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Simi Valley Birth Center offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Simi Valley Birth Center. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Simi Valley Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (805) 587-1957 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
