What parents say
I gave birth at The Birthplace in February 2021 after originally planning a home birth but, due to a congenital issue with my baby, decided to give birth in a hospital. I would recommend The Birthplace and the nurse midwives who practice there.
Absolutely love the Birthplace at the U of M. Both pregnancies I’ve had life threatening complications and they’ve saved my life both times. Nurses are kind, the food service while admitted is great, amazing NICU, and the doctors really know what they’re doing.
Gave birth there to my first baby, the stuff was outstanding, the room service was so nice the doctors and the nurses were so nice and so caring and so helpful as first time mom who felt like I was everywhere they actually made me felt like I had it all together and they were all right there to help when I needed them.
Just had my third baby here, my wife and I are very happy with our providers. Our nurses Melissa,Mariah and Alicia were the best. Caring and very responsive to all our needs. Dr. Olson and our resident were great. They didn’t rush us. They were very patient.
