Where to find The Natural BirthHouse
What parents say
August of 2022 I gave birth to my 2nd child in the hospital. I wanted an all natural birth without the intervention of pain medication. However, due to the nature of the environment in a hospital I was very uncomfortable and opted for an epidural.
As a father, I do not think I fully understood how powerful a birth experience could be until we walked through the doors of The Natural BirthHouse. From the moment we arrived, Midwife Jamie, Midwife Kira, Midwife Assistant Tamra, and Birthhouse Staff treated my wife, my baby, and me like family, not patients.
I am so thankful that I have been able to experience the care of the midwives at The Natural Birthhouse so far for this pregnancy. It is truly a totally different level of care for mama and baby. I have never had to wait in a waiting room for my appointment and I have never felt rushed during my time with the midwives.
My husband and I could not be more satisfied with our birth experience at the Birth House. The midwives have incredible knowledge, expertise, and bedside manner. They offer a more personal and intimate experience for your care and birth that is 100X better than seeing the OB and going to the hospital.
Frequently asked questions
- Is The Natural BirthHouse a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- The Natural BirthHouse is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask The Natural BirthHouse about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does The Natural BirthHouse offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does The Natural BirthHouse accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (337) 412-4373 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
