Where to find The Natural Birthing Center
What parents say
Our experience with Sandra and the student midwives at The Natural Birthing Center was AMAZING. We interviewed many centers and decided on TNBC because of Sandras medical background, length of experience, and faith. Even tho it was an hour away it was worth the drive to feel like we were in good hands .
We are originally from CT but moved to Texas on active orders in May of 2020 - I was due in August. After having a hospital birth with midwives in CT 6 years prior and being completely dissatisfied, I knew I needed to do things differently with baby #2.
I am a first time mom who had a wonderful birth experience at the Natural Birthing Center with Sandra and her training midwifes, Ruth and Abigail. I received amazing prenatal care, Sandra took so much time with my husband and I at each appointment, got to know us, and answered every question.
This baby was my fifth and final, and I am so glad I went with Sandra this time! I wish I would have been brave enough to try this with my other children . Sandra has a manner that is wonderful. She is friendly and kind, informative and patient. I was nervous about a home birth, and she never pressured me to have one.
Frequently asked questions
- Is The Natural Birthing Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- The Natural Birthing Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask The Natural Birthing Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does The Natural Birthing Center offer water birth?
- Water birth or birthing tubs come up in their public listing or reviews. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does The Natural Birthing Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (512) 818-6791 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
