Where to find Hummingbird Midwifery
What parents say
Morgan is ASTOUNDING. She took me on, with my medical background and all, and helped me through a very very long and difficult labor. We ended up transferring to the hospital, and because of her warmth and amazing relationships with the midwives there, she stayed with me through everything- pitocin, epidural...
Morgan and Evaly are truly incredible midwives. Honestly the best of the best! I had the privilege of having them as my midwives for my third baby, and if I ever have any more babies (which I hope to!), I will certainly be calling them! I worked with multiple different midwives for both of my first two births..
When I found out I was expecting my second baby, I knew I wanted the midwifery model of care and began my search. Morgan was the first midwife I interviewed and from our first interview/conversation I knew I'd found the right person.
We had the most wonderful experience working with Hummingbird Midwifery for prenatal and postnatal care. While we had planned for a home birth, our daughter had other plans and came 7 weeks early.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Hummingbird Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Hummingbird Midwifery offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Hummingbird Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (714) 475-4970 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
