What parents say
Words can't even express how grateful I am to Asasiya and my entire birth team. I heard about Asasiya and Inner Circle Midwifery a little over 3 years ago when I read an article about her in The Philadelphia Inquirer.
We are so blessed and grateful that we were able to have Asasiya as our midwife for our first home birth. It was important to me to find a midwife that would be able to understand my needs and experience as a Black woman and Asasiya was the perfect fit for our family.
Asasiya provided well rounded care that was thoughtful, empowering and informative. She encouraged my agency in all decisions related to my pregnancy and the birthing process, and she took the time to get to know me and learn my preferences and experiences with this pregnancy.
At 42 this is my first time giving birth. Over the years I've lost trust and can not imagine a good experience having a hospital birth. Towards the end of my pregnancy my partner and I decided to have a home birth however we've waited until I was 38 weeks and wasn't confident that a midwife would take us.
